An Israeli teenager accused of a wave of bomb threats to dozens Jewish community centres advertised his services on the online black market, according to US authorities.

Michael Kadar, 19, from Ashkelon in southern Israel, was arrested in March on suspicion of targeting Jewish institutions in the US.

The FBI alleges in newly-unsealed court documents that Mr Kadar was running a bomb threat business, and he may have charged only about £23 for each centre he threatened, the Daily Beast has reported.

The teenager, who has dual Israeli-US citizenship, reportedly sold his services on AlphaBay, a “dark web” marketplace site which sold illegal goods and services until it was shut down by US authorities earlier this year.

He allegedly charged a higher fee to frame someone else for making a threat.

Mr Kadar’s parents have blamed their son’s legal troubles on health problems including a brain tumour and autism, which affect his behaviour, it has been claimed.
