Legendary Jewish actor Billy Crystal has posted a charming throwback to his most memorable role as Harry Burns in the Nora Ephron classic When Harry Met Sally.

The New York actor, who celebrated his 75th birthday today, posted a picture of him recreating a pose from the cult classic, wearing a white cable knit sweater, almost identical to the one he was wearing in the film.

Crystal, who starred opposite Meg Ryan in the 1989 genre-defining romantic comedy, was born on March 14th 1948, making him exactly three months older than the State of Israel.

Tweeting simply "thank you all", Crystal racked up thousands of likes in minutes as fans flocked to the post to praise both his leg strength as well as his acting.

Some users even posted their own tributes to Crystal, showing themselves in costumes inspired by his role.

It's not the first time that Crystal's look in When Harry Met Sally has found viral fame, with many posting the fit, comparing it to Chris Evans' in Knives Out or signalling their desire for the annual arrival of autumn.
