Jeremy Corbyn has made the list of top ten antisemitic incidents published by the Simon Wiesenthal Centre.

The Los Angeles-based organisation, which researches the Holocaust, placed the Labour leader fourth in a list that was topped by Robert Bowers, the Pittsburgh synagogue shooter.

“Allegations of antisemitism on the part of key members and officials of the UK’s Labour Party officials have piled up in recent years, injecting the world’s oldest hatred into the mainstream of society,” the centre said.

“Party leader Jeremy Corbyn stands directly responsible,” it added, referring to the JC's front page editorial published jointly with the Jewish News and Jewish Telegraph.

The centre also referred to a JC poll that found 40 per cent of the Jewish community would consider leaving the UK if Labour won the next election.

Robert Bowers, the only suspect in the Tree of Life synagogue shooting that killed 11 people, was top of the list.

Behind him was Louis Farrakhan, leader of the Nation of Islam group, who referred to Jews as “termites” as recently as October.
