A 41-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of committing a racially aggravated offence in Stamford Hill, London.
The arrest took place after Jewish security group Shomrim reported an incident on September 19 in which a rabbi was allegedly abused outside a Boots store in the area.
According to Shomrim, the attacker “hurled abuse and pelted the victim with chicken bones”.
The security group said it was supporting the rabbi, 77, who was left shaken and traumatised.
Shomrim said it had reported the incident to specialist hate crime detectives.
