Students in Leeds celebrated Monday’s horrific terrorist attack in Jerusalem by posting images of a machine gun and the words “until victory”.
Less than three hours after the attack in which six civilians were murdered, Leeds Students 4 Palestine – not an official university group – posted on Instagram a sign which read: "Whoever is in solidarity with our corpses but not our rockets is a hypocrite and not one of us. Until victory.”
The group made their first post within three hours of the terror attack (Image: Leeds Students 4 Palestine)[Missing Credit]
Five hours later, the group posted a picture of the type of machine gun, the Carlo, that had been reportedly used in the attack. The weapon was shown draped in a keffiyeh.
Under the picture, the caption read in Arabic and Hebrew: "The weapon of the poor has returned to you again - the legendary Carlo."
Today, the group posted a picture of the Al Aqsa Mosque on Temple Mount with a giant Carlo gun mounted on its roof.
The caption read: “What did you think decolonisation meant?”

Gunmen opened fire at a bus stop at Ramot Junction near East Jerusalem during the Monday morning rush hour. Five died at the scene and one later died in hospital. Both suspects were “neutralised” by an IDF soldier and an armed civilian, Israeli authorities confirmed.
The posts were reported to the government's Prevent programme and were said to have been passed on to Counter Terrorism Policing North East (CTPNE).
The JC contacted both Leeds Students 4 Palestine and CTPNE for comment.
