The president of the Shomrim Jewish volunteer security group has expressed his frustration with “the lack of positive action in dealing with antisemitic hate crimes”, after antisemitic graffiti was daubed on the entrance of a Jewish girls' school.

The words “f*** yids” were found scrawled on the entrance to the Beis Ruchel d’Satmar school in Stamford Hill.

The graffiti was found by Shomrim yesterday afternoon, with the police subsequently informed.

The incident is the latest in a number of instances of such daubings  in the Stamford Hill area. Last week the JC reported that a bus stop in Hackney had been defaced with the words “too many yids, f*** off”.

In response to the latest incident, Rabbi Herschel Gluck, Stamford Hill Shomrim president, said: "It is a shocking phenomenon that this seems to be allowed to continue.

“There certainly seems to be a lack of positive action in dealing constructively with antisemitic hate crimes. I expect the authorities and the police to be much more proactive in bringing the perpetrators of these hate crimes to justice."

The Met Police have been contacted for comment.
