Canadian rapper Drake, Californian girl band Haim and UK solo artist Jessie Ware are three Jewish acts nominated for the 2018 Brit Awards.

Drake has been nominated in the International Male Solo Artist category, an award he won last year.

He faces stiff competition from Beck, Childish Gambino, DJ Khaled, and Kendrick Lamar.

Singer-songwriter Jessie Ware has been listed in the British Female Solo Artist category.

The London-born performer, who once worked at the JC, said motherhood – she gave birth to her first child last in 2016 - provided much of the inspiration for her new album.

Haim are up for best International Group. The three sisters Este, Danielle and Alana Haim, from Los Angeles, are considered among the hottest properties in music currently.

The group, who played their first-ever show at a kosher deli in Hollywood, for which they were paid in bowls of matzah ball soup, released their acclaimed Something to Tell You album in 2017.

The Brit Awards will take place on  February 21.
