It's Drake's birthday - here are 5 of his biggest hits

Drake is 31 today

While he originally came to public attention as an actor in Canadian teen soap Degrassi: The Next Generation, Aubrey ‘Drake’ Graham is now one of the hottest singers in contemporary R&B.

The Toronto rapper celebrated his birthday in comparatively restrained style this year, enjoying a quiet party at home before watching a basketball game as his beloved Toronto Raptors beat the Philadelphia 76ers 128 to 94.

Drake holds several Billboard chart records, including the most simultaneously charted Hot 100 songs in a single week. In March this year all twenty-two cuts from his new album More Life entered the singles chart, along with a couple of extra songs to bring the total to an unprecedented 24.

Here, for your listening pleasure, are five of his biggest hits.

One Dance

Sweeping the board with No.1 positions in UK, US, French, Irish, Australian and of course Canadian charts, this is Drake’s biggest hit so far.

Replacement Girl

Drakes first single stalled just outside the Top 20 on the US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, but served as a marker that he was a talent to be reckoned with.

Best I Ever Had

"Best I Ever Had" peaked at number two on the US Billboard Hot 100, becoming Drake's first top-ten single. Until the across-the board triumph of One Dance it was, commercially, the best Drake ever had.

Too Good

Drake’s discography is littered with high-profile collaborations but this team-up with Barbadian singer Rihanna is one of his most successful.

Hotline Bling

The quintessential Drake number. The video spawned an internet craze and even caught the attention of US president Donald Trump.
