She shot to fame in 2003’s Lost in Translation and has become one of the world’s most recognisable film stars.
She has appeared in 81 films, been nominated for 237 awards and secured 71 award wins. She has been nominated for an Oscar twice, once for her supporting role in JoJo Rabbit and once for her lead role in Marriage Story.
Speaking to ComicBook this year, Johansson explained how desperate she was to play a role in the Jurassic Park franchise.
She said: “I’ve been trying to get into this franchise in any possible way for over 10 years. I’m like, ‘I’ll die in the first five minutes! I can get eaten by whatever! I’ll do the craft service!’ I’ll do anything for it.
“The fact that it’s happened in this way at this time just is actually unbelievable. I can’t believe it.”
However, Johansson isn't the only actor in the top ten with Jewish heritage. Downey Jr also comes from Jewish ancestry, with his father being half Lithuanian-Jewish and a quarter Hungarian-Jewish
