Actor and presenter James Corden told the 600 guests at the annual dinner of the Fed how the work of the Manchester welfare charity resonated with him. Addressing the audience he said that he was “happy to support the charity as my mum and sister are both social workers, so I’m well aware of the struggles they face and the funds that they need”. The event, held at Lancashire Cricket Club, raised over £1 million in pledges covering a two-year period. Photos: Mike Poloway.
