Singer and bassist Este wears the dress she’s long dreamed of as she gets married to British businessman

Like many a bride, she had wanted a wedding that evoked the fairytale ending of Cinderella.
And now the dream has come true for Jewish rock star Este Haim.
The singer and bassist married tech entrepreneur Jonathan Levin on New Year’s Eve, surrounded by A-list celebrity friends.
While her sisters Alana and Danielle - her bandmates in Haim - sported light blue bridesmaid dresses, Este wore a picture-perfect wedding dress designed by her friend Nicolas Ghesquière, creative director of fashion house Louis Vuitton.
It was something Este had dreamed about since she was five years old.
She told Vogue magazine: "I had this vision of me coming down a spiral staircase. There’s a scene in Cinderella that probably is what I’m kind of mimicking. I would come down in this giant ballroom gown, descending down, and then my fiancé, husband, would be at the bottom [and] grab my hand."
Alana said that she and her siblings had "always wanted to match", and added: "We wanted a dress that would be easy to dance in."
Este and Levin first met when their friends set them up on a blind date, and they got engaged in 2024. Levin, who is also Jewish, popped the question during a hike and Haim said that she screamed just as other hikers were coming down the hill.
"They thought we had just got into a fight," she said, before it quickly became apparent it was an ecstatically happy moment.
The wedding was held at Hotel El Roblar in Ojai, California.
Guests included Taylor Swift and Stevie Nicks from Fleetwood Mac.
Este is the oldest of the three sisters. She was born in Los Angeles and raised to follow Judaism, having a bat mitzvah and observing Shabbat. When the three sisters formed their band in 2007, one of their earlier ideas for the name was The Bagel B*itches, but they instead opted for Haim, which means “life” in Hebrew as well as being their surname.
British-born businessman Levin was vice president of the Jewish society at Bristol University, where he studied as an undergraduate, before taking a masters at Oxford and then moving to the US.
