The charity Glasgow Girls in London attracted 200 tartan-clad revellers to Finchley Synagogue’s Kinloss Suite for a Burns Night celebration. The evening was chaired by East Renfrewshire MP Jim Murphy, while Burns’ Address to a Haggis was recited by Glaswegian Jeremy Freedman. The charity, formed two years ago to raise money for education and welfare charities in the expatriates’ home city, collected more than £10,000 on the night.
