Ed Miliband commended Norwood's "important work" as he helped the charity to raise £14,000 at its third annual YN current affairs reception. The Labour Party leader said the charity "has a well deserved reputation for its vital services which allow thousands of people to achieve their goals". Mr Miliband was interviewed by Michael White, assistant editor of the Guardian, before the floor was thrown open to questions from guests. Topics included the Big Society, bankers' bonuses, and his Jewish heritage. The event, held at the London offices of law firm Norton Rose, attracted more than 150 people.
