Mack, who is not Jewish, revealed that she met her now-husband, former drug addict and reformed Swastika-tattooed neo-Nazi Frank Meeink, 50, while walking her dog on her Allison After NXIVM podcast.
Meeink was in prison for three years in the 1990s for aggravated kidnapping and is often cited as the inspiration for Edward Norton’s character in the cult film American History X.
Just as Norton portrays in the 1998 film, Meeink began to question his racist views through interactions with people of different backgrounds while in prison. Upon his release, he renounced white supremacy and reportedly dedicated his life to advocating racial tolerance.
He even wrote a book about his transformation, titled Autobiography of a Recovering Skinhead.
Part of his reform included his discovery of his own Jewish heritage, something he came to embrace. He has since converted to Judaism and keeps kosher.
Today, Meeink works as an anti-hate activist and public speaker, helping others leave extremist movements.
Mack said on the podcast that she had told Meeink "everything" about her time in NXIVM after just one date and was concerned the former neo-Nazi would hold it against her.
Meeink, speaking on the podcast, said: "I just looked at her and said, 'you know, I'm a former neo-Nazi who used to kidnap people. Do you think I have any room to judge you? No, I don't judge you at all'."
The couple married in a Jewish ceremony with 40 guests in June, saying their vows under the chupah.
“It was a very intimate ceremony with 40 people in her parents' garden in the backyard... it was lovely” a source told celebrity news outlet TMZ.
