A london crowd collects £60K for the Wiener Library

The Wiener Library attracted 125 guests to its gala evening at the home of Sir Sydney and Lady Rosa Lipworth. Historian Professor Simon Schama and Martin Fraenkel, chair of the Wiener Library Endowment Trust, spoke about the importance of the library's Holocaust archive and its work. Pianist András Schiff, whose family suffered during the Holocaust, gave a recital of Beethoven's last piano sonata. The event raised more than £60,000 for the library.
