The UK chairman of Stand With Us has called for British supporters of Israel to take part in Buy Israeli Goods Day on March 30, to combat a day of action called internationally by anti-Israeli boycotters.

The Los Angeles-based organisation is behind a campaign day attracting interest across the US. The Zionist Federation's honorary president Joy Wolfe, the UK's representative, has urged British shoppers to take part as well. She said: "Ask in your local supermarket or other shops where you can find Israeli products and tell customer services or the manager why you are buying Israeli."

The same day has been declared the fifth annual Global Day of Action by the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions campaign.

The last Buy Israeli Goods Day on November 30, followed a similar call from BDS campaigners.
