The release date for Season 2 of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel has been officially announced.
The Emmy-award winning show will return to Amazon Prime on 5 December, which is, coincidentally, the fourth night of Chanukah. An added plus: you can watch the entire thing in one sitting, as Amazon will release the whole season at once.
We've been looking forward to the new season for a while, and it has been hotly anticipated by viewers and industry insiders alike, with the show being renewed for a third season back in May, assuming the unseen second season would be as successful as the first.
The trailer revealed that the show will see Midge Maisel (Rachel Brosnahan) dating again, trying to become a comedic success, a trip to the Catskills and Joel (Michael Zegen) working with his dad. It also looks like there will be a Yom Kippur scene as the trailer shows Midge’s parents saying the confessional prayer.
Amazon has high hopes for this show, just as the Marvelous Mrs Maisel has for herself: “I want to be successful, but I haven’t told my friends or my parents. Except my ex. He knows.”
