MPs Luciana Berger and Robert Halfon are among five new Vice Presidents to have been appointed by the Jewish Leadership Council.
The former Labour and Tory parliamentarians are joined by Daniel Korski CBE – a former adviser to David Cameron – Baroness Ros Altmann and lawyer Julian Blake in the new roles.
The JLC’s Vice Presidents are Jewish Community leaders and experts who offer advice to the JLC’s Trustees and Council of Membership.
Mr Korski told the JC: "I'm honoured to join Jonathan Goldstein and thewhole JLC team and in particular look forward to joining in their fight against the rise of antisemtism in the UK."
JLC chair Jonathan Goldstein said: “I am delighted to welcome Robert, Luciana, Daniel, Ros and Julian to the JLC and I look forward to working together with them and benefitting from their experience and counsel.
“The JLC’s Vice Presidents hail from across our community and their diversity of professional and personal wisdom helps ensure that we are well equipped to advance our community’s interests and needs.”
Mr Goldstein also paid tribute to Lord Woolf, the former Lord Chief Justice, who is standing down as one of the JLC’s vice-presidents, "not only for his years of devotion to the JLC, but for his lifelong service to our country.
“As Master of the Rolls, as Lord Chief Justice and as President of the Courts of England and Wales he has shaped Britain and the law immeasurably. Today, just as I did as a young lawyer, I look up to and admire him greatly. I wish Lord Woolf success and thank him for his support for the JLC.”
