British rabbi Leo Dee,  whose wife Lucy and two daughters, Maia and Rina were brutally murdered by Hamas terrorists  just over two years ago was married on Sunday to Aliza Teplitsky.

The rabbi’s two surviving daughters  Keren and Tali spoke at the wedding ceremony about their late mother Lucy, supporting their father’s choice to marry Aliza. The girls, who were both born and raised in England spoke about their mother and their sisters at the two funerals in April 2023.
In a moving article for the Jewish Chronicle Rabbi Dee explained how he came to remarry. “Aliza is perfect for the man I’ve become,” he wrote. “She brings out the best in me.”

Before making aliyah, Rabbi Dee was the rabbi at Radlett United Synagogue.

Aliza Teplitsky was born and raised in Toronto, where she was an active member of Bnei Akiva, and she later worked as Programs Director for Bnei Akiva North America in New York. After moving to Israel in 2005, she worked on the building of Jerusalem’s Light Rail system in Jerusalem, designed exhibits for the Israel Museum, organised incoming tour groups, and currently manages a customer care team at Tel Aviv hi-tech company Wix.com.
Rabbi Dee and Aliza will live in Efrat on the West Bank with Leo’s three surviving children: Keren, Tali and Yehuda.
