Marisa Papen was previously arrested for appearing nude in an Egyptian temple
June 27, 2018 11:10A Belgian model has provoked outrage by appearing to pose naked from a terrace overlooking the Western Wall for a photograph.
Marisa Papen said she took the photograph in the Old City in Jerusalem on May 14 this year, the anniversary of Israel's independence and the day the United States relocated its embassy to Jerusalem.
“While the rest of Jerusalem was celebrating,” she wrote on her blog, “I was enjoying the afternoon sun on a rooftop after a morning of running around in the desert — capturing our last frames of the trip.”
The photograph, which shows Ms Papen leaning back on white plastic chair, is framed in such a way as to exclude most of the Dome of the Rock and the Temple Mount, which is a holy site for Muslims and Jews.
