Israeli-founded startups account for almost half of Fortune magazine’s Cyber 60 list for 2027, with 29 cybersecurity companies selected having been founded or co-founded by Israelis.
The annual list, now in its fourth year, recognises venture-backed cybersecurity businesses based on revenue, growth and commercial performance.
More than 300 companies were assessed, across growth, early-growth and early-stage categories.
Israeli companies secured six places in the growth category, 11 in early growth and 12 in the early-stage rankings, representing 55 per cent and 60 per cent of those respective groups.
Among the established names is Cato Networks, founded by Shlomo Kramer and Gur Shatz, which provides cloud-based networking and cybersecurity services.
It reported more than 4,800 customers and annual recurring revenue exceeding $415 million in the second quarter of 2026.
Other prominent companies include Island, which develops secure enterprise browsers, and Noma Security, which focuses on protecting businesses using artificial intelligence.
The ranking also highlights the growing importance of AI security, with Israeli startups developing systems to monitor autonomous AI agents, prevent data leaks, and identify vulnerabilities.
Corma Labs, for example, develops AI models designed specifically for cyber defence, while Bold Security uses AI to identify potentially dangerous activity involving sensitive corporate information.
