Right-wing Israeli activists have announced plans to block convoys of aid bound for Gaza until Hamas returns the remaining bodies of deceased hostages.

Campaign group Tzav 9, which is sanctioned by the EU, was founded in 2024 by a small group of hostage relatives.

According to European officials, its “main missions” are to “block supply trucks delivering humanitarian aid, including food, water and fuel, to Gaza” and “tarnish the legitimacy” of Unrwa, the UN’s agency for Palestinian refugees, in Israel.

A spokesperson for Tsav 9 said: “As long as there is no agreement, continuing to transfer aid to the terror group is forbidden.
