Israel has struck the Houthi-controlled Hodeidah Port in Yemen shortly after the IDF warned civilians to evacuate, Israeli Army Radio has reported.

Reuters news agency also cited Al Masirah TV, a station affiliated with the Houthi movement, that the Red sea port had been struck.

Earlier today, IDF spokesman Colonal Avichay Adraee warned civilians in the area to evacuate, saying the hit would be "in the coming hours" and the life of anyone who did not would be “in danger". He added that ships at the port also needed to leave.

The extent of the damage was not immediately clear and it is not yet known if there were any casualties.
