A Palestinian gunman who broke into the Turkish embassy in Tel Aviv and took two hostages is in custody this morning.
Nadim Injaz was said to be in good condition, despite reports that he had been shot by security staff as he entered the building and siezed two hostages.
He gave victory signs to photographers as he was escorted to an ambulance last night.
Because the building is considered Turkish territory, he may not face punishment in Israel. But Israeli police are holding him under suspicion of illegally residing in the country.
