The Israeli national airline has now evacuated its staff from the French capital

The offices of Israel’s national airline, El Al, in Paris was vandalised by anti-Israel activists this morning.
Slogans daubed on the main entrance to the building read: “El Al genocide airline” and “Free Palestine”. Red paint, commonly used by pro-Palestine groups to represent the blood of Gazans, was also thrown on the door.
In response, the airline transferred all of its staff out of the French capital and has temporarily handed off its passenger services in the city to other airlines.
A spokesperson for the company: “The incident occurred while the building was unoccupied, and there was no danger to employees.
“We view this act with utmost seriousness and are working with the relevant authorities to address the situation.”
They added: “El Al proudly displays the Israeli flag on its aircraft and strongly condemns all acts of violence.”
Israel’s Transport Minister Miri Regev also condemned the attack on social media of the vandalism, saying: “Citizens of France, wake up. Today it’s El Al, tomorrow it could be Air France.
"When President Macron makes declarations that empower Hamas, this is the result. I strongly condemn this barbaric act and expect French law enforcement to identify those responsible and take firm action.”
The “declaration” she referred to is Macron’s confirmation that France will recognise a Palestinian State at the upcoming UN General Assembly in September.
France will be the first G7 member and European member of the UN Security Council to take such a step, while the UK and Canada have also announced they intend to do the same at the meeting as long as certain conditions are met.
However, the move prompted condemnation from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who warned: “Such a move rewards terror and risks creating another Iranian proxy, just as Gaza became.”
