Border police officer, 19, dies from wounds after attack near Jerusalem’s Old City

The Border Police officer who was critically wounded in the shooting and stabbing attack at Jerusalem's Damascus Gate on Wednesday morning has died from her wounds, a police spokesperson has announced.

The officer, Hadar Cohen, was among three wounded in the attack.

The 19-year-old was wounded along with another female Border Police officer and a young man.

The women were guarding the gate when they were wounded in the attack, which was carried out by three armed assailants, according to police.

The assailants, who were shot on the scene, were armed with rifles, knives, and explosives.

None of the three suspects, from the town of Kabatia near Jenin and aged 20-21, were known to be affiliated with any terror organization.
