WJR strips for poverty

articlemain

World Jewish Relief volunteers have looked to their own wardrobes to launch the charity’s Operation Winter Survival 2013.

To raise awareness of harsh winter conditions in the Former Soviet Union, the WJR team have stripped their wardrobes and bagged up clothing.

This year the OWS campaign, now in its fifth year, is calling on the Jewish community to “strip their own wardrobes” and donate used or unwanted clothing to help WJR raise funds.

WJR chief executive Paul Anticoni said: “We hope that the community is inspired to be generous this festive season and strip and collect their clothing.”
