Former Glasgow Hebrew Burial Society burial officer Warren Bader is waiting to learn whether the society will settle a claim over his departure or go to an employment tribunal.
Mr Bader's association with the society was ended abruptly in February with no reason given. In a judgment following a November hearing, a Glasgow tribunal ruled the Masorti member was covered under its regulations, despite having served the society as a freelance.
GHBS had been expected to decide in December whether to fight the case. But a spokesperson claimed that "due to the bad weather conditions and holidays, it hasn't been possible to meet with our advisers. It's hoped a decision will be reached over the coming weeks."
Mr Bader's lawyer, Stephen Connolly, said: "We are fully prepared to proceed to a hearing and we're confident we have an excellent prospect of success."
