Smile's better at Fed club

articlemain

An after-school club is being launched by The Fed for children with additional needs at The Hershel Weiss Children’s Centre, Salford.

The free club, which will be held on Wednesdays, will be staffed by family support workers from The Fed’s Project Smile team and is aimed at five to 12-year-old Jewish children who have a diagnosed disability.

Shelley Lewis, children and families’ social work team manager at The Fed, said: “We were relieved to get through Salford’s long and vigorous tendering process for the funding for our groups and even more delighted by their vote of confidence in asking us to deliver an additional external service.”
