After 27 years at UJIA, most recently as regional director for Israel and interim chief executive, Natie Shevel will leave to become CEO of the Gerald and Gail Ronson Family Foundation, taking up the post in spring.
“It has been my honour to serve UJIA alongside so many talented, committed and passionate lay and professional colleagues for the best part of three decades,” he said.
“As I begin the next exciting chapter of my career, I look back with a tremendous sense of pride, gratitude and humility on all I was privileged to have learnt and accomplished at UJIA.”
Mr Shevel is staying on to ensure a smooth transition when new UJIA CEO Mandie Winston joins the charity next month.
UJIA chair Louise Jacobs thanked him “for his innovative leadership and years of dedicated service.
“Natie’s departure has been on the cards for some time and we are grateful that both he and the Gerald and Gail Ronson Family Foundation postponed the move to allow him to act as our interim CEO and assist with the appointment and induction of our new chief executive.”
