The story of a couple who have found love late in life after meeting through Jewish Care has touched the hearts of hundreds after a Facebook posting about them by the charity on Valentine's Day.

Following the passing of her partner, Lilian Flatto was persuaded to continue attending the art and keep-fit classes she enjoyed at Jewish Care's Edgware and Harrow day centre by manager Jacey Harris. When Harold Shaverin began going to the centre after his own partner died, a volunteer introduced them knowing they shared a passion for dancing.

Two years on, they are very much in love. They spend a lot of time together and as well as dancing, they now both take the art class.

“We just click and get on so well," Ms Flatto said. "Our lives were changed for the better by meeting at Jewish Care.”
