Danny Caro's Division 1 Team of the Season

Players from Redbridge B, Lions B and Scrabble FC are the dominant forces in my MGBSFL first division master class.

articlemain

1. JAMES HARPIN (ML Lions B) - Young stopper won the Golden Gloves award after impressing throughout the season as his team cemented top-flight football

2. CHARLES BRAUNSTEIN (NL Raiders B) - been excellent at the back - for someone so young he's shown real defensive savvy this season allied to his Pace and strength

3. RICHIE CAPLIN (Redbridge JC B) - has been one of our most consistent performers this season. Richie has  played a number of positions and gives energetic ability on all these. Scored many goals from set-pieces this season, and also saved many goals in defence. Richie is a massive help in helping the management team sort out things. Richie has developed in many ways this season. A brilliant lad to have around the squad and a pleasure to manage

4. ELLIOT ESPINOZA (Scrabble FC) - engine room turned playmaker. Popped up with a good number of goals, incredible fitness levels and endeavour

5. JOSH BHARIER (Scrabble FC) - great addition to the team. Drove the side forward, scored some important and impressive goals

6. BRAD GAYER (Redbridge JC B) - Captain fantastic Gayer has been brilliant this year. His commitment, technical ability and leadership have been first class. Brad has scored many special goals this season, but none will beat his winning goal in Lions B championship decider, which just demonstrated how special his ability is. Brad has scored the same goal about six times this season. The ball passed to Brad on the left side of the 18-yard box, and the ball is driven across the keeper into the opposite corner leaving the keeper with no chance. Brad is also the leader on RJC B social nights, where he sorts out VIP Clubbing nights at Faces Night Club in Essex.

7. BENJI WEINBERGER (ML Lions B) - the glue that holds the team together. Influential at both ends of the pitch

8. DANIEL BEAN (Redbridge JC B) - Nicknamed by the whole RJC Club as N’Galo Kante, Daniel has been sensational this season. The ground this boy covers is just unbelievable. He will be making challenges on his own penalty box, then he will be at the other end of the pitch trying to get involved in the attacking play. Daniel has been instrumental in RJC B title-winning side. In football, a lot of time players do not like to do the dirty work, of pressuring oppositions and winning tackles, and this is what Daniel lives for. He is an amazing talent and such a top lad. After one game this season referee secretary Andy Myerson did ask for autograph, because he couldn’t believe someone could cover such amount of ground in a game!

9. DANNY SHERMAN (Scrabble FC) - big target man proved he can cut it in Division One with some classy performances. Brings people into the game and a real handful for defences

10. OLI SADE (Finchley City) - everything he touched turned to goals

11. MICHAEL KENLEY (ML Lions B) - MLL B Golden Boot winner saw him edge out strike partner Josh Bloom in this team

STAR MAN: Daniel Bean (Redbridge JC B)

MANAGER: Sam Rank (Redbridge JC B)
