JC GOAL OF THE WEEK CONTENDERS

RORY CARLSON (NW London Bears) - outstanding solo goal, nutmegging the Chigwell centre-back before cutting in and curling the ball into the corner

SAM SHACKLETON (NW London Bears) - struck a bouncing ball from Zacki Doumou first time across the keeper and into the net. Sublime technique

DANIEL GARFINKLE (CLUB de CHIGWELL) - great strike past James Harpin to get his team back into the game

YOAV KESTENBAUM (Faithfold DocMM White) - His first goal was worth the wait. Managed to hold of three or four Fairlop players with quick feet and excellent strength and then flicked the ball over the keeper's head into the net

BRAD GAYER (Fairlop FC) - lovely strike against Faithfold DocMM White

ADAM BURCHELL (NL Galaxy) - complete mastery by Burchell. From the right hand side he weaved in between four tackles, before drilling into the bottom right corner with his left foot - truly sensational goal, breathtaking to watch

JAMES BELCHAK (NL Galaxy) - stunning solo run saw him evade three tackles before finding himself one-on-one with the keeper and he dinked the keeper. Superb goal

ETHAN KESSEL (NL Galaxy) - GOAL 2 - held off a couple tackles on the edge of the box before wrapping his foot around the ball and finessing one top bins ... leaving the keeper standing still. Whipped into the stanch from Kessel - finesse of dreams

ZAC SUMMERFIELD (Paris Saint-Jewmain) - arguably one of the goals of the season/decade, scored a first-time half-volley from about 35 yards line following a defensive clearance, straight into the top corner

JC SAVE OF THE WEEK CONTENDERS

JAKE DOFFMAN (Hendon Utd) - brilliant finger-tip save to keep out a low drive from Brad Wine

JC QUOTE OF THE WEEK CONTENDERS

GIDEON GALE (North London Raiders) - "It was good to rotate a number of players and try some new things in preparation for our title decider next week against Galaxy"

MITCH YOUNG (FC Team) - "Borussia Barnet have better players than us and on the day fielded a team with the likes of Jack Mattey and Rosenthal, so overall I am very proud of our 11"

JORDAN SAPLER (Hendon Utd Sports) - "We were down to the bare bones with more injured players on the side watching than we had on the pitch playing but today was where we showed what we were about. We stole a game that deserved to be a draw in the last minute with great work from our signing on the day Danny Kon"

JAMES HARPIN (North West London Bears) - "Rory Carlson in midfield showed a touch of class on his Bears debut after returning from USA for Christmas. He scored an unbelievable goal that Lionel Messi would’ve been proud of"

SIMON LINDEN (Temple Fortune) - QUOTE 1 - "These last two wins, either side of new year, I’m hoping will be remembered as significant come the end of the season. We have been short of numbers but pulled through the games and picked up six crucial points"

SIMON LINDEN (Temple Fortune) - QUOTE 2 - "Hands up, I didn’t get the tactics right in the opening 30 minutes but once I changed it around and started to have new signing Dan Harrod and Liam Stein centrally getting on the ball with Kaye, Sherman and Hyams causing all sorts of problems to the PSJ back four we got a grip on the game and second half just about edged it because we simply wanted it more"

JACOB EMANUEL (Hertswood Vale) - "I have to give personal thanks to Director of Football Jack Shulman for leaving the comfort of the boardroom to return to the dugout in mine and Danny Hirschberger's absence. Today’s win belongs to him, just as much as it does to Danny and he deserves a nomination for manager of the week. We also wish Danny a long life following the passing of his father over the Christmas period"

HENDON UNITED SPORTS 2 OAKWOOD 1

A last-gasp strike from the returning Danny Kon boosted Hendon United's hopes of retaining the title following a hard-fought win over Oakwood at Hadley FC.

WATCH MATCH HIGHLIGHTS

Gav Noe put Hendon ahead from close-range midway through the first-half, only for Oakwood to equalise with a well-struck shot from Kyle Bentwood from the edge of the box.

But the final word went to Kon, who signed for Hendon on the eve of the match, marking his return from a five-year sabbatical, as he capitalised on a rare error from Alex Lee to slot home in the closing minutes. Hendon finished the game with ten men after the impressive Chaim Korman was sent off following two bookable offences.

Triumphant Hendon boss Jordan Sapler told JC Sport: "We dug deep today to grind out an extremely hard-fought victory."

FAITHFOLD DOCMM WHITE 3 FAIRLOP FC 1

Two more goals from Akiva Solomon plus one from Yoav Kestenbaum earned Faithfold DocMM White a 3-1 win at home to Fairlop, as predicted!

Fairlop's goal came via a trademark effort from Brad Gayer.

Faithfold player-manager Avi Markiewicz told JC Sport: "This was a real team performance. We all worked exceptionally hard for each other both on and off the ball. We won every first and second ball. We backed each other up and didn’t rise to any tactics intended to wind my players up."

Table-toppers HMH were beaten by MLFC Blue for the second time this season as their title hopes were dealt an almighty blow at the Hive.

JEWDINESE 1 HERTSWOOD VALE 2

Dan Reuben and top-scorer James Millet helped Hertswood Vale secure an impressive 2-1 win over promotion rivals Jewdinese.

Jack Shulman masterminded the victory, in the absence of managers Jacob Emanuel and Danny Hirschberger. Emanuel told JC Sport: "I have to give personal thanks to Director of Football Jack Shulman for leaving the comfort of the boardroom to return to the dugout in mine and Danny Hirschberger's absence. Today’s win belongs to him, just as much as it does to Danny and he deserves a nomination for manager of the week. Jewdinese's goal came through top-scorer Reiss Mogilner. Manager Darren Lawrence told JC Sport: "It was a morning to forget for us. We were awful today. Were missing a few key players but that doesn’t excuse our performance."

NORTH LONDON GALAXY 8 REDBRIDGE JEWISH CARE 0

JOEY GOLD was the hat-trick hero as North London Galaxy earned the biggest win of the day, crushing RJC 8-0.

Further strikes from Ethan Kessel (2), Dylan Kaye, James Belchak and record signing Adam Burchell completed the rout.

Galaxy manager Luke Lewis told JC Sport: "We were in cruise control today. That's the beauty of managing this incredible squad, with Ethan Kessel and Adam Burchell, two of the best Jewish footballers around making their debuts. From minute one we dominated the ball and got the goals to go with our excellent performance, as well as a clean sheet."

NORTH LONDON RAIDERS 6 BROOK FARM ROVERS 0

North London Raiders started 2020 where they left off in 2019, with a rip-roaring win, over-powering Brook Farm Rovers 6-0 with strikes from Aron Gale (2), Liron Mannie, Jordan Nathan, Matt Warner and Josh Bloom in a real statement of intent from the leaders.

Jubiliant NLR joint-manager Gideon Gale told JC Sport: "It was nice to see us picking up where we left off pre-Chanukah. Having seen BFR’s previous results, namely taking points off Galaxy and Vale, we knew we were in for a tough game. The boys stepped up and in the end rounded off another impressive display. It was good to rotate a number of players and try some new things in preparation for our title decider next week against Galaxy."

Rovers joint-manager Dan Cohen told JC Sport: "It was a really tough first game back for us after a few weeks off. Raiders are top of the league and unbeaten for a reason - they were simply too good for us today."

BORUSSIA BARNET 2 FC TEAM 2

A deadly double from Richard Salmon ensured a share of the spoils for FC Team in the top-of-the-table clash at Borussia Barnet.

FC Team player-manager Mitch Young told JC Sport: "We are very happy with the point considering the circumstances. We were struggling to field a team halfway through the week and signed Adam Klein, and Jon Breger had to come out of retirement. We went 2-0 up and I felt we were actually the better team in the first half and arguably could have scored more. Second half Barnet dominated and at the end we probably did well to hang on."

Mitch Gerber and Jack Mattey registered for Borussia. Co-boss Brad Papier told JC Sport: "All things considered being 2-0 down at half-time, it was great spirit to come back and it says it all that we are disappointed with only a draw."

NORTH WEST LONDON BEARS 5 CLUB de CHIGWELL 2

North West London Bears produced a five-star performance to crush Club de Chigwell, with goals from Sam Morris (2), Zaki Doumou and Sam Shackleton.

Daniel Garfinkle scored both goals for CdC.

Bears joint-player-manager James Harpin told JC Sport: "That’s three games unbeaten now and it shows the massive improvement we have made from the start of the season. Having Morris and Doumou up top helped us today with both of them causing havoc."

PARIS SAINT-JEWMAIN 3 TEMPLE FORTUNE 4

GARY HYAMS fired a treble as Temple Fortune won a seven-goal thriller to boost their promotion credentials against Paris Saint-Jewmain.

Earlier, Jonny Kaye had put Fortune ahead, only for Zac Summerfield, Dylan Levi and Joe Cohen to give PSJ the upper hand before the visitors rallied superbly.

Delighted Fortune boss Simon Linden told JC Sport: "Hands up, I didn’t get the tactics right in the opening 30 minutes but once i changed it around and started to have new signing Dan Harrod and Liam Stein centrally getting on the ball with Kaye, Sherman and Hyams causing all sorts of problems to the PSJ back four we got a grip on the game and second half just about edged it because we simply wanted it more."

PSJ manager Elio Elia told JC Sport: "Despite the result, I'm very encouraged and proud of the boys' effort and performance - we are learning and improving with each game and the team definitely has a lot of potential for the future."
