"All credit to Chigwell. They have some quality players and gave us a good game."
Chigwell boss Richard Slater told JC Sport: "This may sound stupid after losing 2-0 but we were superb today. We dominated the game from start to finish, had more of the play, hit the bar, post and one or two other chances.
"Considering we went there the morning of the game, with 12 players and no keeper, while they were rolling on and off with 18 players...on a massive pitch we deserved something from the game. We just didn't test their keeper enough. Tons of possession but not clinical.
"Flixton had three chances, two from our mistakes and one well-taken goal. That was it!! But that's football. I'm very proud of the lads, they gave their all when on paper with over eight players missing and no recgonised keeper it had the makings of a hiding. Flixton knew they were in a game today, and can count themselves very lucky to be in the quarters in my opinion."
