Australian sprinter Steven Solomon was the star turn on Day Nine of the London Olympics.

Steven Solomon, who is 19 and from Sydney, ran a lifetime best to qualify for the Men's 400m final at The Olympic Stadium.

Having ran a PB to win his heat yesterday, Solomon finished his semi-final in third place and, after watching the next two races, he was ecstatic after finding out he had reached tomorrow night's final as the fastest loser.

Lee Korzits placed second after 10 races in the Women's RS-X Windsurfing competition in Weymouth.
