Josh Dagul believes Brady Maccabi's thrilling comeback against leaders Redbridge B can help kickstart their season.
Josh Newman bagged a brace as Brady produced arguably their finest performance of the season to condemn Redbridge to their first defeat.
Matt Frohlich and Simon Moses added the gloss at Rowley Lane, as Brady bounced back from last week's cup defeat against HMH U18.
This was a game of two halves, as the cliché goes, according to RJC boss Jon Jacobs.
Redbridge dominated the first half, struck the bar three times and deservedly took the lead with a smart finish from Daniel Garfinkle.
The lead was doubled with an excellent debut right-footed finish from Harry Mednick and the game was there for Redbridge to finish off.
Sam Singer then pulled off a smart finish in a one-on-one with Sam Sollosi and then the game turned on its head. Redbridge were awarded a penalty just before half time which Jimmy Castle struck straight at Singer.
Brady regrouped at half time and made a couple of tactical changes that worked a treat in the second half. They came out firing in the second half and knew the next goal was important and scoring early on gave us the momentum to go on and win the game.
The lead was halved following a defensive error, drew a foul from the keeper which saw them get a penalty which they duly converted. The momentum was now with Brady and they duly equalised with a fine long-range finish which was rather spoiled by the ridiculous celebration of one of their players which sparked unsavoury scenes which the ref struggled to contain.
This incident really seemed to affect Redbridge and they then fell behind to a ricochet finish which saw Redbridge chasing the game and conceding one more goal in the last few minutes.
Brady boss Josh Dagul told JC Sport: "It was a fantastic comeback from the team against a very strong Redbridge and the best 45 minutes of football we have played all season.
"The midfield three of Josh Newman, Sam Monjack and james Joseph had an outstanding second half, controlling the game completely. Hopefully our season can kick off from here."
RJC boss Jon Jacobs told JC Sport: "I think you learn more about your team in defeat and this has been a salutary lesson in not killing a game off when they had the chance."
