Having qualified top of their group, the young Lions faced Bedwell Rangers FC in their quarter-final tie, dispatching them 4-0 thanks to a hat-trick from Zac Benedick and a goal from Ethan Gold.

That led to a semi-final against Milton Colts. Milton had won the same tournament 12 months earlier and were buoyed by winning a national Futsal tournament the previous week.

In a tense encounter the strong defensive unit of Dylan Joseph in goal and Joshua Doctors and captain Max Mandel at the back kept Milton at bay. The game ended goalless and penalties were the order of the day.

Three brave Lions stood up to be counted and Doctors, Max Mandel and Gav Mevorah all scored. As the final Milton player stepped up goalkeeper  Joseph produced his best 'Fortnite' dance and the unfortunate opposition player shot wide. The Lions were into another final.
