Italian football fans to be investigated over allegedly antisemitic chants

In a video circulating on social media, Inter Milan fans can allegedly be heard chanting: “The Italian Champions [Milan] are Jewish.”

Meanwhile Juventus fans reportedly were heard shouting a chant for which they have been punished for in the past.

According to the chant’s chorus, people from Florence, where ACF Fiorentina is based, are “not Italian” but “a bunch of Jews.”

Inter Milan has condemned the antisemitic chants made by its supporters via Twitter where it posted an image of its counter-racism campaign Brothers Universally United with the words: “We have been Brothers of the World since 1908. It is a commitment we have always made. It is in our history, it is who we are. #NoToDiscrimination”

Juventus has not yet released a statement regarding the incident.
