Injury results in abandonment of London Lions' FA Vase tie

London Lions second qualifying round match in the FA Vase was abandoned after a serious injury to a Malmesbury player after an hour.

FA VASE 2ND QUALIFYING ROUND

LONDON LIONS A MALMESBURY VICTORIA A (Match abandoned after 60 minutes due to player injury, with Lions 1-0) 

Lions were leading 1-0 at the time, but after waiting an hour for an ambulance, the referee called time.

Typically the ambulance duly arrived less than a minute later, but there was to be no further play and despite Adam Burchell’s goal on 46 minutes, the match will be replayed.
