Rovers continued to battle and showed why they are up there in the league this season, but even a late consolation couldn't stop Maccabi marching on.
Maccabi player-manager Michael Sacks said: "The most important thing today was getting back to winning ways ... and we did that.
"We've got players peaking at the right time, and, as I tell the boys on a daily basis, we're a squad, not a team. Everyone will get thier chance to shine and if you play well, the shirt is yours."
Sacks went on to say: "We still need to improve defensively as we're leaking too many goals, and that's got to start from the front - it's the team's responsibility to defend!"
Maccabi return to league action on Sunday against Chorlton Sports. Kick off will be 10am at Frederick Road, Salford.
In other Maccabi news, the Blues lost 5-4 to Reich in the MJSL. Goals from Jason Hamburger, Adam Lavin, Jasper van Veen and Ryan Silvester were not enough to see the Blues help their Yellow counterparts by taking points of league leaders, Reich.
