The Merseysiders secured the first part of a possible quadruple by lifting the Harold Feldman Trophy - with a 6-0 drubbing of South Manchester Sports Club 2nd - but they head south as underdogs.

Boss Bloomberg commented: “It’s our first national cup final and we plan to enjoy it, whatever the outcome.

“I wasn’t confident going into semi-finals, but the lads surpassed themselves. I’m aware of the quality the Lions possess but we really have nothing to lose. We’ll do the best we can and see what happens. We’re proud to be representing the MJSL who are right behind us.”
