A long-range special in the last minute from Dom Hallett inspired Temple Fortune to their first win of the season as they humbled Hendon B 2-1.
Zack Rich was Fortune's other scorer as they registered their first victory since March 16, avenging the defeat against Hendon earlier in the season, where the winner also came late on.
The home side had much the better of the first half, but were unable to capatalise on their superiority as they were denied on numerous occasions by Fortune Tony Hirschstein.
From Fortune's perspective, going up the hill and into a low sun in first half was not easy and they went in at half time at 0-0 which we felt positive about. They played very compact and really reduced Hendon to very little in the first half. That being said Tony Hirschstein pulled off the save of the game from a glancing Ben Glekin header at full stretch heading into the bottom corner which he turned around the post.
The second half was a bit more open and Fortune scored two good goals. Rich broke the deadlock with a low strike from the edge of the area into the bottom corner - it screamed goal from the moment it left his foot leaving the keeper wrong footed and with no chance.
Hendon continued to create chances until finally 10 minutes from time, midfielder Avi Mocton's sweetly struck left-foot shot finally gave them the goal they'd been craving.
With Hendon pressing for a winner, Fortune claimed all three points with virtually the last kick of the game with another long-range finish, this time from Hallett. The strike was also virtually impossible for the keeper to save and had a touch of fortune about it with a high looping strike into the top corner from about 25 yards.
Fortune boss Jonathan Cohen told JC Sport: "We lost to Hendon last season last year when they scored a last minute 35 yard wonder strike so I suppose its fitting that we did the same thing to them.
"Overall, Hendon may well have deserved a point and it was a competitive game, a good spirit and we are delighted to get our first win."
Hendon boss Adam Glekin told JC Sport: “Congratulations to them for winning their first game, but I’m still scratching my head as to how we’ve lost it.
"It was like one of those classic Championship Manager matches where you have 25 shots on goal and the opposition has two and you lose 2-1.
"A very frustrating morning and that's back to back games where we've been the better team and picked up no points."
