Hakim and Cash at the double for MLFC in Middx Vets Cup win

Braces from Paul Hakim and Lee Cash, added to by strikes from Steve Summers, Daniel Stanton and David Soutar, helped MLFC Masters ease through to the third round of the Middlesex County Cup at the expense of Maidenhead United.

On the front foot from the off, it was only the excellent Maidenhead keeper that kept the scores level for the opening quarter of the game as Maccabi seemingly created sights of goal at will.

The hosts became guilty of trying too hard at times to force things to happen, but when Stanton's defence-splitting pass sent Hakim away the lead finally came, the Lions striker squaring the ball across goal for Summers to slot home low into the corner.
