Cash, who'd been on for literally a minute, showed everyone how to finish, his first touch seeing him rifle an unstoppable shot into the roof of the net. And he was part of another fine move that ended with skipper Stanton grabbing the sides third, a lead they took into the break.
Maccabi tore back into Maidenhead at the start of the second period, the visitors having no answers other than their outstanding keeper who made string of impressive blocks to keep his side in it. He was indebted to his woodwork, though, three times as Maccabi simply couldn't find that elusive fourth goal.
That was until Cash's deep cross was finally headed home by Hakim at the far post. On a rare foray into Maccabi territory, Maidenhead pulled a goal back, but Cash and Hakim both soon doubled their own personal tallies to extend the lead yet further.
With the clock running down, the crowd were treated to two excellent goals, one for each side. The visitors firstly put together a fine move that resulted in an unstoppable strike whistling past Rob Abrahams into the far top corner, but not to be outdone the hosts had the final say, Soutar from 20 yards curling home a beauty.
Many good sides await in this competition - Maccabi are looking forward to the draw later in the week.
