Darryl Lee has indicated that he could make a comeback with the GB Maccabiah and European organising committee, having stepped down in July as a result of work commitments.

Lee, who is still involved in an unofficial capacity, said: "A return is possible. At the moment it would be quite difficult, but never say never. We will review it at the end of the games."

He insists that he made Maccabi GB more professional during his tenure through the use of nutritionists, masseurs and modern technology, but suggested: "It might be time for a younger person to come in and have their time.

"But I am passionate about the Maccabiah games. I am still informally a part of the GB Maccabiah and European organising committee, and I will be staying out there for the games."
