Here is my Select XI from Matchday 6 of the MGBSFL.
1. SCOTT SHEAR (Real Sosobad) - "in a game where some sloppy errors could have cost Sosobad, Shear was instrumental between the sticks and made some excellent stops, often playing as a sweeper. He was always quick off his line and made the difference for the boys in orange today. 10/10 performance"
2. NICKY SHINDER (Athletic Bilbaum) - "joint-player-manager put in a fantastic performance, his first full 90 minutes this season. Not a single ball went over him and not a single man went past him. His goal-line clearance capped office a solid game"
3. NICK STERN (L’Equipe) - "captain today was outstanding and put in a MOTM performance at AC Whetstone. Won every 50-50 and picked up two assists"
4. JOSH BARNETT (Faithfold B) - one of the best and most reliable defenders in Jewish football. Was brave and tenacious in the tackle against Sosobad. Faithfold B are lucky to have him
5. MICHAEL KHALASTCHI (Camden Park) - "man-of-the-match against Neasden, Michael was back to his imperious best. Commanding in the air, dominant in the tackle and composed on the ball - a perfect all-round performance from the centre-back" in the Anekstein Cup shock
6. OLI HENRY (Blizzard Storm) - "ran the match, best game yet. Everything went through Oli, blancos could not handle him"
7. JONNY KAY (NL Raiders A) - "outstanding. Strong as an ox and set tempo for whole team. Everything good today came from him" against Redbridge A
8. JESS ALEXANDER (Jewdinese) - "a faultless performance against NLR C. Not misplacing a pass and battling in the middle of the park for 90 minutes. His goal was truly sensational, a right-foot volley from 30 yards into the top right corner"
9. JAMES JOSEPH (Brady Maccabi) - "second-half game-changer," according to RJC B boss Jon Jacobs. "Moved into the Ozil role at half time and linked up superbly with Sam Monjack. Was at the heart of all of Brady's good attacking play in the second half"
10. JAKE GILBERT (NL Raiders B) - SEE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
11. JAMES GOLD (Maccabi London Lions) - "3 in 3 and red hot at the moment. The boy can't stop scoring"
