Adam Pearlman was the hat-trick hero as Scrabble FC set up a second-round trip to Beckenham Rovers after hitting Petts Wood for six in the London FA Sunday Junior Cup.
Scrabble started this tie determined to make up for their recent other cup exits and looked in superb form as they swept aside their opponents from the Metropolitan Sunday Football League.
An early goal from Pearlman set the tone for the match for Scrabble against a tough and physical side from Kent.
Scrabble's midfield looked in determined form and a great move before half time saw them go in 2-0 at the break with Zak McLeod adding to his impressive tally this season.
With Petts Wood throwing everyone forward after half-time, Scrabble were able to find space on the break and a three-man move ended with McLeod adding his second and Scrabble's third after 60 minutes.
Some superb saves from Ben Law in the Scrabble goal prevented Petts Wood getting on the scoresheet before Danny Sherman hit a superb goal with 20 minutes left on the clock to make it 4-0.
Scrabble introduced fresh legs with two substitutions in the last 15 minutes before Pearlman added a fifth with a solo effort.
Pearlman completed a memorable hat-trick near the end to complete a 6-0 rout.
Boss Ray Abrahams told JC Sport: "This was our last chance to progress in a cup competition this season and the guys were brilliant today.
"Our build-up play was first class, with some good assists, and we were very clinical in front of goal today.
"Our goalkeeper and the back four were solid and rarely looked troubled so all round a very pleasing performance and a great result."
