Dean Furman has suffered disappointment after failing to win a contract with Blackburn Rovers.

The South Africa midfielder had been on trial with the Championship club.

But Furman, a free agent after leaving Doncaster at the end of last season, has been told he will not be offered a deal at Ewood Park.

Furman scored in a pre-season friendly at Accrington and was invited to the a warm-weather training camp in Portugal.
