Burchell helps Lions make their point

Missing several first-team regulars, there was a welcome return at centre half for Nick Landesberg as the Lions looked to build on their win over Codicote.

Adam Burchell fired the visitors ahead just after the hour mark but a goal from Nathan Skelton ensured it finished honours even at Stratford Field.

Lions boss Landesberg said: “Buckingham are a decent side and we played well.

"If we had taken one or two more chances we could have won, but the performance was good.”
