An impressive all-round bowling display limited Chingford to an under-par total of 154, before Brand stole the show with a dominant innings of 99 not out to see Vale through to the win.

LMV won the toss and elected to bowl first, and despite Chingford battling solidly, Vale's bowlers were consistent and always had the scoring rate under control.

Wickets were shared around between Steven Allweis, Simeon Cohen, Benjamin Lederman, Neil Lederman and Adam Brand - a strong team effort restricting the visitors to just over three runs per over.

In response, Brand looked in fine fettle from the start. Fresh from leading Team GB to a silver medal at the Maccabiah Games, he manoeuvered the ball around the outfield and brought his half-century up from 70 deliveries.
