ADAM STOLERMAN was FC Team C's hat-trick hero in a thriller that was settled in extra-time against third division Boca.

Boca left the pitch feeling "a little hard done," according to boss Gabriel John - having battled back from one down, then 2-1 down they truly believed they'd take something from the game.

FC Team had scored after a minute, directly from a corner, and then from a penalty. Getting to 2-2 at the end of full-time. A deft chip from Josh Webber and a truly calm finish from Brett Schuman had kept Boca in the game.

Team player-manager David Gordon told JC Sport: "We were not at our best and struggled on a pitch much smaller than we are used to. Nothing we did seemed to come off and when we did try and create attacks the game was broken up by Boca’s constant fouling inside our half.

"We should have had the game wrapped up by full time but their linesman raised his flag every time the ball went into their half and the ref seemed only too happy to oblige them.

"In the end it was a case of “the boy who cried wolf” that the one time the ref ignored the flag we scored the decisive third goal, that our dominance in extra time deserved.

The important thing is that we are through to the next round and that we managed to win despite not playing at all well. I’m certain we’ll improve next week."

Boca boss Gabriel John told JC Sport: "The scoreline heavily flattered FC Team."
